HOME cookin’

What: If your quest for refreshed skin has been fruitless, the new VerryBerry Glo facial uses a mixture of blueberry, bilberry and mulberry to brighten, exfoliate and smooth skin while minimizing fine lines.

What: Make a commitment to getting in shape by signing up for 12 weeks of the new Elite Urban Warrior Challenge by Health & The City. Through a combination of cardio kickboxing, self-defense, strength training and meditation, you’ll tighten your core and increase flexibility.

When: Saturdays at noon and Mondays at 6:30.
How: Email them for details and pay $365 to sign up.
Why: Because just being a “weekend warrior” won’t get you into fighting shape for the holidays.

What: New lunch spot Good Health Burger makes fast-food healthy with their vegan and vegetarian offerings. We’re partial to their Tex-Mex and Black Bean burgers and the egg- and dairy-free desserts.
